Covering the four main skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, you will gain nationally recognised qualifications in English language, with optional units on computing and maths skills. In addition, you will learn about UK culture and take part in events to celebrate your own. You’ll also take part in fun competitions to develop job interview skills, and develop the confidence to live, study and work in the UK successfully.
The WEA
ESOL courses offered by the WEA range from Pre-entry to Level 1 and you can achieve City and Guilds qualifications in ESOL, maths and English.
Between September and December 2020, all courses are delivered online via Zoom.


Bury Adult Learning
Classes are delivered at the following centres:

You will need a qualification in ESOL if you wish to apply to settle in the UK or become a British citizen. Improving your English can help you get more out of your life in the UK. It will help you if you want to:

Maximus Training
ESOL courses offered by Maximus Training range from Entry 1 to Level 1. You can also work towards a qualificaton in Functional Skills English and Maths. This is available at Entry levels up to and including Level 2.
Between September 2020 and January 2021, all courses are delivered online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.


Seetec Outsource
Seetec Outsource aims to enhance all learners’ personal, social and emotional well-being by integrating them into our inclusive teaching and learning community. All staff members are fully qualified to support diverse learner groups in achieving their qualifications by offering bespoke learning opportunities to meet individual needs. Their centres deliver a range of vocational courses, as well as ESOL, to learners from Entry 1 and above. They also provide enrichment opportunities, such as trips to museums and galleries, to enhance the learning experience.
