ESOL courses are available to start all year round and are ideal for anyone who wants to improve and refresh their everyday skills in English and maths. They have been designed to allow learners to study around your current work and life commitments and learn at a pace that suits them. Bury College offer ESOL classes from Pre-Entry to Level 1, including Functional Skills English and maths qualifications, in addition to GCSE English and maths. Lessons take place during the day and in the evening.
Bury College also offers additional support through Student Services which may include help with the costs of travelling to college, counselling and mental health support, additional learning support and welfare advice.

ADAB offers ESOL courses from Pre-Entry to Level 1, as well as providing help and advice and employment training for adults. ADAB’s services are targeted towards all the residents living in the local communities in Bury, Greater Manchester, including Black Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities, refugees, and new and emerging migrant communities. Community cohesion, valuing diversity and inclusion are central key components within all the services they deliver. ADAB aims to be flexible with online delivery, but primarily offers in person classes, taking into account safety measures.

Bury Adult Learning Service provide part-time adult education courses including ESOL, maths, IT, arts & crafts, languages, cookery, plus courses for people with additional learning needs. Their provision is based in the centre of Bury, very close to the bus and Metrolink station.
For ESOL they deliver classes from Pre-Entry to Level 1, where learners are given the opportunity to take speaking & listening, writing and reading exams. They also offer ESOL for Work courses for those learners that might not want to do exams but want to move into employment. Most lessons are during the day, but they also have evening classes.

The WEA are the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of adult education, helping students to develop their English skills for all aspects of life and work. Courses range from Pre-entry to Level 2, where learners can achieve City and Guilds qualifications in ESOL, maths and English. Their information, advice and guidance service is an important part of all courses to help students find further learning and progression opportunities. All courses are delivered on Zoom.

Seetec Outsource aims to enhance all learners’ personal, social and emotional well-being by integrating them into their inclusive teaching and learning community. All staff members are fully qualified to support diverse learner groups in achieving their qualifications by offering bespoke learning opportunities to meet individual needs.
Their main area of delivery is Functional Skills courses for ESOL learners from Entry level 1 upwards, but they also include vocational elements, such as British Values, progression and wellbeing, and Employability. They also deliver traineeships and vocational pathways such as hospitality, retail, construction, and business administration.
