Get Rochdale Working is a single access point for Rochdale residents aged 16+ to get support with work or training. They have a helpline where you can discuss your current situation and all of the options available to you. You can phone them on 01706 926657 or email

  • 1:1 support to find work
  • Finding alternative employment
  • Support to become self employed
  • Help with a CV, application forms and interview techniques
  • Access mental health or physical health support if you are off sick from work & much more

ELP is part of the Economic Affairs Unit of Rochdale Council. We help borough residents in a variety of ways.

We offer free Employment Related Services (ERS):

  • Support to find courses and gain vital qualifications
  • Helping hand with job hunting

Eligibility for advice:

  • Hold a valid National Insurance Number
  • Rochdale Borough Resident, aged 16 or over

There are a number of online courses that are free to anybody who is unemployed and offer accredited qualifications in many subjects. Courses typically run on tablets or laptops and learners can study in their own time. There are a range of courses in the following categories:
