Move to eVisa

Physical immigration documents are being replaced with an online eVisa in the UK.

The UK Government is asking anyone who is a BRP holder to apply for an eVisa before the 31st of December 2024.

An eVisa is an online record of:

  • your immigration status
  • the conditions of the type of permission you have to enter or stay in the UK

You can read more about eVisas and how you can get one on the GOV.UK website: Online immigration status (eVisa) – GOV.UK
